Abril’s priority as a TV and media producer is to make a mark by reflecting on and including our identities as individuals and communities while using media as a tool to engage, inspire and challenge audiences.
Since a young age, Abril started acting in film for the international co-production of Colombia and Venezuela, “A LA SALIDA NOS VEMOS,” and then in another of Cuba, Spain, and France, RIO NEGRO (Black River). She worked on TV commercials for Pepsi and Jordache and was on the covers of national and international magazines.
Abril won popularity as a TV actress, winning public recognition for her excellent performances as the co-star of telenovelas Nina Bonita and La Revancha, among others, broadcasted in the USA by Univision and now streaming through Novelisima.
Abril was the producer of CBN’s morning show Club 700 Hoy. She hosted and participated in programsfor Maryland Public TV, and created the media department at Oak Hills Church in San Antonio, TX, ministered by Max Lucado. Her goal has always been to show the truth, the need, and the hope.
Abril had great experiences working with people of many nationalities and backgrounds. The most important reminder of this experience is always to place our differences aside and orient ourselves toward a common purpose. Abril believes that teamwork cultured in values and integrity builds a better creative environment, proving that we can speak concise language that all can understand.
She is constantly learning, preparing, and innovating to the highest standards to ensure that her path to a creative career is impactful and enjoyable as possible. She works currently as a content producer adviser for various nonprofit organizations, advocating for journalism integrity, equality, human rights, and pro-life organizations.
